KEY MEMBERS
Below are the Committee members of the Club. Their photographs are included so you may recognize them on the river bank. Please feel free to approach and discuss any matters with them or simply stop for a chat.
Rhodri Davies - Committee member
Rhodri joined the Committee in ????. He lives in Aberaeron and has fished the river Aeron since a young boy. His main interest is in fly fishing for sewin at night and lough style boat fishing for trout. Rhodri has become a very competitive and proficient lake angler and has been the angler to beat in recent seasons on the lakes.
Wyn Thomas - President
Wyn recently moved to Glynaeron on the outskits of Aberaeron and is a riparian owner. Since his move to the town, Wyn has been an avid supporter of the Club and has gone above and beyond to welcome members onto his property to fish, something for which the Club is entirely grateful and indebted. Wyn became President in Dec 2023.
Nigel Davies - Chairman
Nigel has been a member of the Committee since 1985 serving 17 years as Secretary. He lives in Aberaeron and has fished the Aeron since his childhood. Nigel’s main fishing interests lie in sewin fishing by all methods, lough style boat fishing and bass fishing.
Owain Dimmick - Vice Chairman
Owain has been a member of the Committee since 2016.
He lives in New Quay and has fished for trout since a child. He also fished in the
Welsh Youth Fly Fishing Team. His main fishing interests lie in sewin fly fishing
and lough style boat fishing.

Shane Jones - Secretary and Membership Secretary
Shane has been a member of the Committee since 1995. He lives in Aberaeron and has fished the Aeron since 1994. His main fishing interests lie in sewin fishing by all methods, lough style boat fishing and bass fishing. Shane is also a proficient flytyer.
Bryan Hughes - Treasurer
Bryan joined the Committee in 2007. He lives in Towyn, Gwynedd
but visits Aberaeron regularly to visit family and fishes the Aeron whenever he can.
Bryan’s main fishing interests lie in sewin fly fishing and lough style boat fishing.
Bryan is also an expert bass flyfisherman and a proficient flytyer.
Conrad Jones - Lake Secretary
Conrad has been a member of the Committee since 1981 and is a former Chairman. He lives in Aberaeron and has fished the Aeron since his childhood. Conrad has represented Wales in lake fly fishing and won the prestigious Brown Bowl in 1984. His main fishing interests lie in sewin fly fishing, lough style boat fishing and he is a proficient flytyer.
John Davies - Committee member and acting Lake Secretary
John has been a member of
the Committee since 2004 and is a former Chairman. He lives in Caerphilly but was
born and bred in Aberaeron and has fished the Aeron since a child.. John spends his
summers fishing the Aeron every chance he gets. His main fishing interests lie in
sewin fly fishing and lough style boat fishing.

Geoff Churton - Committee member
Geoff has been a member of the Committee since 2009.
He lives in Caerphilly but did live in Aberaeron for several years and regularly
visits the town to fish the Aeron. His main fishing interests lie in sewin fly fishing
and lough style boat fishing.

Steven Williams - Committee member
Steven joined the Committee in 2013. He lives in Aberaeron but was brought up in neighboring Aberarth and fished the Arth for sewin as a young boy. He knows the Aeron and Arth well and prefers to fish the quieter sections of the river with worm and spinner. Steve has also become a proficient lake angler and has fished at many locations throughout the UK.
